Any given day, more than 10,000 children are within Washington State’s foster care system. Many of these children were removed from highly abusive and unsafe environments – such as drug dens, neglect, abandonment, and prostitution.
The foster care system currently has no immediate services for children 12 and under who are removed from these horrific situations. Hand in Hand provides the vital, temporary home these kids need.
Providing temporary shelter (for an average of 72 hours), Hand in Hand welcomes each child with a comforting and warm environment. Upon arrival, each kid is outfitted with basic necessities and items to help them feel at ease, like a new set of pajamas.
If you are interested in making a donation or participating in one of our community service events, we’d be honored. Please contact your loan officer or request more information.
